Dear wine lovers,
the new year already brings some innovations to our wine app.
We are pleased to inform you about the following new features:
1) Dashboard – New analytics
For further analysis of your wines, we have specifically thought about inflows & outflows and created new statistics:
— Inflows
— Outflows
— Top 5 grape varieties drunk by country
— Top 5 wines drunk by country
2) New wine attributes
2.1) Wine rating
Storing a wine rating (Falstaff, Parker, etc.), requested by many users, is now possible. A rating can be added for both new and existing wines.
2.2) Additional wine attributes
To classify wines even more precisely, further wine attributes have been added. Whether organic, natural, or orange wine, the distinction is now possible when creating or editing a wine.
2.3) Merchant information
Based on your requests, the optional input fields merchant and merchant website have been added when creating/editing a wine.
3) Wine overview enhancements – Filter functions
Both the wine rating mentioned above and the new wine attributes can now be filtered in the wine overview to narrow the search in even more detail.
4) Wine overview enhancements – Function per wine
If merchant and/or merchant website information has been entered, you can use the function button on the respective wine to go directly to the merchant or website. If only the merchant is entered without a merchant website, DWINER tries to search for the wine with the merchant in the browser.
5) Menu – New menu items
5.1) Messages
All messages sent by DWINER or, in future, other features (friend requests, sharing wine ratings, etc.) can now be read in the dedicated Messages menu item. The menu and the message icon inform you about new messages:
5.2) Subscription information
Under the Payments tab you will now find the status of your subscription. All users are in a trial month for 1 month; afterward you can choose between a monthly or annual payment model in this tab. After the trial month ends, you are automatically redirected to this page.
6) My winemakers – Feature enhancement
Under the main menu item My Data and then the submenu item My Winemakers, a new Number of wines column has been added. It shows how many different wines you have per winemaker in the cellar. In addition, a sort function enables a special view. By clicking a heading (for example Number of wines), you can sort ascending or descending. Finally, a web search for the winemaker was added: simply click the familiar function button and visit the winemaker on the web.
7) Profile – Statistics & functions
7.1) Wine cellar value statistics
Somewhat hidden and only for you personally, wine cellar value statistics have been built into the profile. With one click on your profile picture you are already in your personal profile!
8) History – More details on wines checked out
All entered wine data are now also available after checking out a wine (when no stock remains) and can still be viewed in History.
9) Wine export in wine overview – More information
The wine export in the wine overview enables a quick export of filtered wines. The general wine data have been expanded so that more information can be shown on export.
10) Bug fixes
— iOS login problems have been permanently fixed
— Clicking dashboard details (for example a country in the Top 5 number of wines by country statistic) again jumps to the wine overview including filtering based on the selected statistic
— Changing the country for existing winemakers resets the winemaker, and only winemakers from the newly selected country can be chosen
11) Outlook
To build a little anticipation, we are informing you today about the features we will tackle next:
— Wine lists: Create any wine lists you like (sales, tastings, etc.) and add wines to these lists directly from the wine overview. You can set the order of the wines yourself, choose the wine data you want for export, and then export these wines for your own use.
— Tasting notes: Create tasting notes for your wines; whether stock remains or not, you can find them all in History and never lose your personal tasting notes.
— Optimized wine creation: Set your personal preferences for wine creation (country, wine type, bottle volume, sweetness level, etc.) so that creating a wine can be completed even faster.
— Wine scan: Of course we will also continue working here to enable you to scan wines and thus create them quickly.
